How to qualify for the Melbourne Scholarship 2024
To qualify for the Human Rights Scholarship at the University of Melbourne, students must meet the following criteria:
• Admission to Graduate Research Degrees.
To be eligible for a postgraduate research programme at the University of Melbourne, applicants must have completed an application and met the admission requirements.
Academic Discipline: Plan to undertake postgraduate studies in Human Rights.
- Dedicated to Human Rights: Demonstrate your commitment to advancing peaceful human rights by doing voluntary work or acquiring employment experience outside of academia.
- Level of Qualification: The applicant cannot have previously acquired a research certification at the same or higher level as the course for which the scholarship is being applied.
- The status of registration: Plan to enroll as a full-time student unless there are extraordinary circumstances that impede full-time study.
- Previous scholarship awards: You cannot have previously received a Human Rights Scholarship.

The Benefits of Melbourne Scholarship 2024
All lucky winners of the Human Rights Scholarship will benefit from the following:
- A living allowance of up to $42,000 per year pro rata (2024 full-time study rate) for up to 2 years for Master by Research students and 3.5 years for Doctoral students.
- The Full Fee Offset covers up to 2 years for Master by Research students and 4 years for Doctoral students.
- A relocating grant of up to $2,000 for students migrating from states or territory outside Victoria, or $3,000 for those moving from outside Australia.
- Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) provides a single membership for international students with a student visa studying in Australia.
