Now Open: PGD, IJMB, HND, and ND Part-Time Admissions for 2024–2025 at Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa

Whether you are a recent high school graduate looking for a solid foundation in your chosen field through a National Diploma (available in both full-time and part-time options) or an experienced professional looking to expand your skill set with a Higher National Diploma, Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa has a programme for you. Furthermore, the institute offers pathways to accelerated degree programmes under the Integrated Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) programme. Those looking to further specialise in their industry might also pursue Post Graduate Diploma alternatives.

Requirements for entry include a Higher National Diploma (HND).

The Higher National Diploma (HND) programme at Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa is intended for ambitious students who have already earned a National Diploma (ND) in a relevant discipline from a recognised polytechnic. To ensure your success, we seek applicants having a solid academic foundation, as evidenced by a minimum Lower Credit on their ND record.

But academic achievement is just one piece of the puzzle. We also value well-rounded individuals with a solid grasp of the fundamentals. So, applicants require a minimum of five (5) credits in your GCE O’Level, SSCE, or equivalent qualification, including English Language and Mathematics.

Finally, to bridge the gap between theory and practice, it is highly recommend that applicants have at least one year of industry experience following their ND qualification. This practical exposure will make you a more competitive candidate and prepare you to excel in the HND program

National Diplomas (ND)

While good academic success is vital, so is being well-rounded. In addition to the core subjects, obtaining at least three (3) additional credits in related courses can help your application. Admission requires meeting the Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa’s minimum JAMB (UTME) cut-off scores. The Polytechnic’s website lists specific scores.

 

The application process at Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa is basic. Non-refundable application fees are ₦10,000.00 for HND programmes and ₦2,000.00 for ND programmes, excluding bank charges.

Do you have an Advanced Diploma (with at least Lower Credit), a Higher National Diploma (HND), or a Third Class (honours) degree? It is vital to have all relevant records and documentation, such as NYSC discharge or exemption certificates.
