Starting in 2018, the Gates Scholarship sponsors 300 students each year; thus, 3,000 students throughout the entire existence of the programme. This programme was initiated by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to eliminate cost factors that hinder potential students from excelling academically and professionally while being minorities and belonging to low-income groups.

The eligibility criteria for The Gates Scholarship 2025

All interested applicants must have the following qualifications:

• Be in high school, preferably as a senior.
• Intend to register full-time in a first-degree programme in a university in the United States that is accredited by the US Department of Education, non-sectarian, private, or public.
• Achieve a total cumulative weighted average of 3. 3 on a 4. 0 scale.
• Belong to one of the following ethnicities: African American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian/Pacific Islander American, and/or Hispanic American.
• Be a United States citizen, national, or permanent resident of the United States.
• Ways of benefiting from the Gates Scholarship and its period
• These are tuition and fees, living expenses including food, housing, transportation, books and supplies, and any other incidental expenses.
• Ideal Candidates: High grade point average, leadership experience, and well-developed personal achievement skills necessary for success.

Steps Required to Apply for The Gates Scholarship 2025
